The "Fighting Championship" was to be the first in a series of tournaments featuring a small selection of hand-picked characters, in an attempt to leave only traditional fighting game characters. In spite of my best efforts, there were issues with several characters and future Editions were put on hold. Even so, the tournament features several entrants that have never been seen at other RI Tournaments and there are some good matches. If you forget about the whole "traditional characters" bit, there actually is a good tournament here!
Immediately following this tournament there was a "Bonus Tournament" featuring the 8 strongest characters from this tournament and 8 opponents of my choosing. It's a short, little tournament and it shares a Playlist with the main tournament.
